Summer Music Festivals in London


Summer is the time when most people in London wish to move out of their homes and indulge in all sorts of activities and attend festivals and music shows. For visitors to London, it is best to stay at celebration hotels in London if they wish to enjoy the various summer music festivals in London.

Field Day at Victoria Park will take place on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th June 2014 where the British band Metronomy will perform on Saturday while recently-reunited US band the Pixies will feature on Sunday.

Meltdown Festival will feature from 13th to 22nd June 2014 at Southbank Centre. It will be curated by James Lavelle, the man behind influential record label Mo’Wax.

Bushstock which is a festival of original music and intimate venues, will take place at Ginglik on Saturday June 14, 2014. It will showcase some of the best up-and-coming talent from ‘The Bush’ and beyond. Bushstock is the brainchild of Communion record company.
Camden Crawl in which more than 250 artists will perform at venues across NW1 and NW5. It will take place on Friday 20th and Saturday 21st June 2014. Groups like Electric Ballroom and the Jazz Café will welcome the likes of ABC, Steve Mason, Mouse on Mars and Atari Teenage Riot to their stages.

Wireless Festival will take place at Finsbury Park on 4th, 5th and 6th July 2014. It is a big and boisterous show with a line-up to match. The stars of the festival will include Kanye West, Drake, Pharell Williams, Basement Jaxx and Bruno Mars.Enlarge
Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park will take place at Hyde Park from 3rd to 13th July 2014. It returns this year with super boy band group McBusted heading the opening weekend and Neil Young topping the bill the following weekend live in Hyde Park.
Somerset House Summer Series with Chvrches, Bastille, Kelis, Sam Smith, and Franz Ferdinand playing at Somerset House every day 7:30 pm. It’s an idyllic, intimate, calming, escapist location for a concert on a summer’s evening. London-based trio Daughter will kick the Summer Series off on Thursday 10th July.
