The group performs contemporary dance that has amazed audiences of all ages and interests.
From April 27 to April 29, 2013, the company is presenting two of its most acclaimed works, Uprising and The Art of Not Looking Back.
The Uprising is a highly thrilling work that leaves audiences amazed. This dance work was premiered on 24th June, 2006 at the Robin Howard Dance Theatre. The dance work witnesses the performance of seven male dancers that emerge from the shadows to bombard the stage with infuriated energy. Set to a beating percussive music, this lively production plays with the concept of masculinity, exploring brotherhood and friendship and is considered as a breakthrough work.
The Art of Not Looking Back which was played in the year 14th May, 2009 was commissioned by Brighton Festival. The dance work was inspired by the outstanding female dancers of Hofesh Shechter Company. Physical, multifaceted and insistent, it explores loss and separation and shows Shechter’s favourite theme of “man against the world” in a different and alluring light.
