Vinopolis is a popular wine tasting experience and visitor attraction situated under the iconic railway arches of London Bridge. It offers five bars and restaurants and eight event spaces, giving guests the opportunity to taste more than 100 different wines.
Since Vinopolis opened in 1999 it has welcomed many thousands of different parties, groups and individuals who want to learn more about wine and sample reds, whites and rosés from around the world. However, after a long and successful run, the attraction is set to close its doors at the end of 2015.

Wine tasting at Vinopolis London
Up until November 29th 2015, Vinopolis will offer a range of wine tasting packages, including Self-guided Wine Tasting, which allows guests to discover new wines at their own pace. On arrival at reception, visitors receive a pre-loaded debit card with electronic tokens which can be used throughout the experience. A wine host then offers a 15-minute ‘How to Taste’ introduction, before guests are allowed to explore the eight tasting and educational zones. Expert wine hosts are available to answer questions and make recommendations based on each customer’s taste preferences.
Private wine tasting experiences are available for groups of six or more people. A wine expert offers a guide to wine tasting, comparing and contrasting three red wines and three white wines with the group. These tours are designed to help visitors master the basics of wine tasting and teach them more about the art form.
A number of Wine & Dine packages are also available at Vinopolis, allowing customers to combine their wine tasting experience with lunch or dinner in Cantina or Del Mercato. Vinopolis London is set to close
If you’ve never been to Vinopolis London, you’ll have to act quickly to schedule in your visit. After 16 successful years, the attraction is to close for the last time on December 31st 2015 to make way for a new retail development. You can still book tours, meals, tasting and Christmas party events at Vinopolis during autumn 2015.
Parking in/nearby Vinopolis London
Parking is limited in and around Vinopolis, which is situated next to the busy Borough Market. However, there are a number of pay and display car parks within walking distance of the attraction. The closest are Union Car Parks at 53 Southwark Street, Bankside, which is a three-minute walk away and Thames Exchange NCP, which lies four minutes away on Bell Wharf Lane, off Upper Thames Street.
Getting to Vinopolis London by Tube
The closest Tube station to Vinopolis London is London Bridge on the Jubilee and Northern lines, which is roughly a six-minute walk away. Borough (eight minutes) and Southwark (11 minutes) Tube stations are also in close vicinity. London Bridge mainline station is also just a short walk from the attraction, for customers arriving by train.
